JEANNA A. SENDER
Chief Exective Officer
Jeanna joined Buildings Consulting Group, Inc. as Chief Executive Officer in 2020. Her responsibilities include creating and implementing company purpose and vision and working closely with the company’s executive leadership to oversee company operations, business planning initiatives and developing long and short-term strategy for the company. Before joining BCG, Jeanna spent 7+ years in marketing, communications, and recruitment working in the non-profit sector for United Blood Services of the Dakotas.

BRENT W. SENDER
Brent joined Buildings Consulting Group, Inc. in 2020. In his 14+ prior years in the building and construction industry, Brent worked in the composites division of one of America’s largest fenestration manufacturers over which time Brent held multiple executive staff level positions leading teams in operations, supply chain management (procurement and logistics), and new business development.

DANIEL E. POPPLER, P.E.
Principal Engineer
Dan has been practicing engineering since 1997 with a focus on structural and renovation design, structural condition studies, forensic evaluation, and construction management. He holds a Bachelors of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Minnesota and is a licensed Civil Engineer in the State of Minnesota.

RYAN E. RILEY, P.E.
Associate Principal
Ryan is an Associate Principal Engineer with Buildings Consulting Group with over 20 years of experience in the evaluation, design, and construction administration for the repair of brick, block, stone, terra cotta, concrete, precast concrete, curtain wall, stucco and EIFS facades. Ryan’s experience includes consulting on various building types including commercial, educational, medical, parking, and mixed-use facilities. He is a graduate of the University of Minnesota and is a licensed civil engineer in the State of Minnesota.

MARK J. DUNCAN, P.E.
Associate Principal
Mark Duncan is an Associate Principal Engineer for Buildings Consulting Group with over 20 years of design experience. He is responsible for managing restoration and new design projects, as well as evaluation, design, and construction project management. Mark works with clients to identify their needs and repair priorities to deliver the best quality service. His experience includes structural engineering design, post-tensioning concrete evaluation and restoration, façade, and forensic evaluations. Mark is committed to delivering a clean quality product, building relationships, and mentoring young engineering professionals. Mark has his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with a Structural Emphasis from the University of Minnesota Twin Cities Campus. When Mark is not at the office, he can likely be found hiking or camping with his local scouting unit.

J. BRANDON ENGLISH, MS, JD, P.E.
Associate Principal I
Brandon leads BCG’s Kansas City office. He has investigated various types of agricultural, commercial, industrial, municipal, and residential structures to determine the cause and extent of damage, the relation of damage to various potential effects, and has offered repair versus replacement recommendations. Brandon has provided forensic consulting services for natural disasters, including hurricanes/tropical storms, tornadoes, fire damaged structures, and wind/hail events. Brandon is experienced in conducting foundation evaluations, analyzing various structural systems/cladding systems for effects from various potential sources, performing roof/wall assembly evaluations, and determining cause(s) of water ingress.

MARY E. VANCURA, P.E., PhD, MBA
Principal Engineer
Since 1999, Mary has worked in almost every area of the civil engineering profession, including people management, and found that concrete materials was her favorite. Sometimes known as Dr. Concrete or the Crack Lady, when it comes to concrete, she can make it, bake it, break it, analyze it, and fix it. Vancura specializes in concrete thermal control plans, concrete mix design, understanding the practicality of alternatives to portland cement, concrete service life, concrete testing, industrial concrete slab design and failure, concrete pavement design and failure, interpreting concrete petrography, concrete specifications, concrete fiber reinforcing, crack control and mitigation, and diagnosing and repairing concrete material failures. She has been with BCG since 2024.
